Pretty doesn’t have to be expensive

I love a good price for anything- whether it be clothes or home decor! Target, Walmart, TjMaxx, HomeGoods- they have such amazing finds at such great prices!

Recently, in redecorating my own living room with not a huge budget, I discovered that Wal-Mart has stepped up their home decor game- like A LOT! But guess what- their prices are still Wal-Mart prices! SCORE! The two room schemes below are from Wal-Mart- who would have ever thought??? and no, Wal-Mart is not paying me to say these things! Although, if they want to- I wouldn’t be mad about it!

In following other interior designers on Instagram, I saw that one of my favorites posted a master bedroom refresh with pieces from guess where- WAL-MART!! I don’t care if it was sponsored or partnered or whatever- the result is beautiful! Check it out here! You can also shop the room right from her blog! I don’t know about you but this makes redecorating a breeze! If you want to see other amazing designs she has created visit her blog, Addison Wonderland.

I’m not saying you have to shop at Wal-Mart for beautiful pieces- my point is that pretty pieces don’t have to be expensive. They don’t have to come from Restoration Hardware or Arhaus Furniture, you can find gorgeous coffee tables and rugs at reasonable prices and they still look just as beautiful! And if you decorate your entire home from Arhaus- no judgement here! Do you! We all like what we like and they have gorgeous stuff! Sometimes function outweighs price and if you have kids, or pets and you know it’s a high traffic area-buying a very pricey rug that will need to be professionally cleaned might not be the smartest idea. Instead you may find a rug at Target that is $200 and get two years out of it. To me, that is totally worth the money! On the other hand- you may want something that is of better quality and will last you 10 years- guess what?! That rug may come from Target too! The great thing about places like TJ Maxx, HomeGoods etc is that they sell inexpensive, middle of the road and higher end quality materials and pieces for anyone’s budget!

These chairs are also from guess where…Wal-Mart!! That lamp is from HomeGoods, table is Ikea. See what I mean?!

I personally feel like I win big when I find something that is of higher end quality and is reasonably priced- it’s like a diamond in the rough! Decorating doesn’t have to break the bank. Any project can be small or large and can accommodate what you are willing to spend. But don’t feel unmotivated because you don’t want to spend a ton of money on home decor- I got you and so does Wal-Mart 😉 If you need help shopping, or finding pieces for a room- I’m here for you!
