Is it Fall yet?

I’m going to regret saying this probably instantly and miss Summer but I am ready for cool, crisp mornings and the leaves to change. It has been HOT and quite frankly- I am over it. So let’s talk about Fall and all the things.

I went to Christmas Tree Shop this past weekend and they had the cutest Fall stuff out. I was pleasantly surprised and like a giddy child because it wasn’t all orange and red. I am the person that has to match my decor to the color theme in the room. So for instance, my living room is navy and neutrals- I have a really hard time putting an orange pumpkin in that room. WHY?! I can’t tell you but now that the decor God’s have spoken- they have NAVY pumpkins and signs and floral arrangements. Not just navy either, they had mint, plum, VELVET (sorry for all the capitals, I’m just so excited), gingham, blush, and gold. You can check out all of their Fall decor by visiting their website . There is nothing wrong if you love traditional decor- I am just happy the horizons on decorating for the seasons is expanding color wise. Maybe you need a pumpkin color that isn’t on shelves at the stores. Simple fix- head to the dollar store and pick up some plastic pumpkins and craft paint! It’s a really inexpensive way to add seasonal touches around your house with any color you want!

Maybe you’re not in to decorating seasonally- no worries. You can easily put your house in the Fall spirit with a candle. Does any one else feel like as soon as Fall is here, it is time to light Fall scented candles? I mean I love the smell of apple pie fresh out of the oven but I’m not going to bake one every day to get the smell. I’m kind of a candle snob and usually buy from Bath and Body Works.
