I’m sure many of you are wondering just what a design-aholic is, or better yet who I am. I think being a design-aholic is like being a shopaholic (which also, guilty as charged) except that I am addicted to decorating and designing homes…and shopping for all things related.
Shopping, shopping and more shopping. I said I was a shopaholic. Need a shopping partner? I am available to shop with you for all your home needs. Whether that means you need help with cabinets and back splash tile or paint and accessories for a bookcase. Some people find places like Home Goods overwhelming, I find it therapeutic. I could walk the aisles for hours and spend time envisioning rooms where different pieces can call home. Maybe you are looking to give a room a certain feel- maybe you’re style is Joanna Gaines- maybe its not, maybe you don’t know your style. That’s okay! Every store has elements that can help give a space the feel you are looking for, you just have to know where to look and how to put them together. This may mean that we need to go to multiple stores, or make returns, that’s okay too! I am here to help you design the space to your needs- with pieces you LOVE- to make your home feel the way you want it to.
Designing and decorating can be fun- with the right help and knowledge! You can make your home in to the space you want to be for years to come! But let me also tell you, that the decor in a room doesn’t have to stay there forever. It is so easy to change out pieces, paint, accessorize a room and VOILA- the room went from country chic to coastal! It is really that simple. The important thing to realize is that you have pieces that can be multi-functional and used on repeat, or even in a different room. I am constantly taking a picture from one room and moving it to the next, or switching out the flowers in a vase.
What I am trying to tell you is that designing isn’t always tearing down walls, or remodeling your bathroom. Designing is about making a room in your home feel like home by incorporating elements that you love! And that is where I come in, I am here to help you, guide you, design with you!
